How do I use FindOut Search?

• You may be thinking; how do I use this? Well all you have to do is is click or search for something that may interest you on the navigation bar above and get started reading!

Tooltips: Knowing what's what

• When you hover over an item (eg. a header), you will be able to see what that item is, along with it's directory.

What are locked pages?

• A locked page is a page that is either essential (eg. admin page) to FindOut Search or is a legacy page. An admin page displays a 'locked' indicator.

• A legacy page can be about or designated to a topic or person that is general and seems to go into public interest very often. A legacy page displays a 'locked' indicator.

• The opposite of a legacy page is a neutral page. Neutral pages can be about or designated to a topic or person that is not of the current public interest. Neutral pages display an 'unlocked' indicator.

• If a page is unavailable (eg. an error page), you will be given a 'question mark' indicator, along with a 'locked' indicator.

• The indicator/icon declaring a neutral (unlocked), admin (locked), unavailable page, or legacy page (locked) is at the top-right corner of your screen.

What is the 'Comments' section, and what is the 'Chat Board'?

• Comments are a new and experimental feature (released April 10th, 2024) that have been added to available non-admin pages on FindOut Search for a more natural and lively experience on the platform. The 'Comments' section is currently marked by a gold colored 4-point star, indicating a new, experimental, sought-after, or special feature. Comemnts must be submitted for approval in the 'Submit A Comment' page located at the right side of the navigation bar.

• The chat board (accessible via the 'Chat Board' page) is a forum-like system where users on FindOut Search can post content/comments on the site. Prior to posting on the chat board, you must read the rules & notes pertaining to the chat board on it's page.

• FindOut Search will not directly collect personal data or information about you without trusted thrid-party sources.
